The Marketing Association of Credit Unions Conference (MAC 2025) brought together some of the brightest minds in financial marketing, and it was truly an inspiring week.
From Rocky Garza’s opening keynote, “The Imposter Within,” challenging leaders to replace self-doubt with authenticity, to Amy Downs’ unforgettable message in “Hope Is a Verb,” reminding us that transformation is a choice, the sessions were packed with energy, emotion, and real-world insight.
The breakouts explored everything from digital strategy to inclusion, storytelling, and human connection, showing how much creativity and innovation are shaping the credit union movement right now.
Of course, AI was the buzzword in many conversations. Jordyn Swanson’s session discussed balancing speed and efficiency with genuine human connection when integrating AI into your work process. Marketers took away new tools and channels, including AI, to support content development, without missing out on what members care about and how they engage.
Attendees also had the opportunity to learn about the value and importance of product naming in making brands more memorable, as well as a discussion on ideas for successful credit union programs, including culture building, new membership campaigns, and lending promotions.
A panel of credit union professionals had conversations about how to serve underserved communities. The takeaways were that credit union marketers need to ensure everyone is on board, remove language and access barriers, adapt products where needed and engage the entire community.
Huge congratulations to our friends and clients:
🏆 Hilary from Embold Credit Union, winner of seven MAC awards, and
🏆 Shawna from Abound Credit Union, honored with four awards for her team’s outstanding work.
The entire event was an incredible reminder that the most powerful marketing doesn’t just sell, it connects. And credit union professionals are a group of deeply connected individuals who believe in their mission and strive to bring their communities the best services possible.
We are proud to stand alongside so many talented, purpose-driven credit union marketers who are redefining how this industry grows and serves its members.
